Previously an area of low lying, poor quality agricultural land, Green Park has been transformed into a world class award wining Business Park. The landscape infrastructure creates a unique business park setting with a potential 2,125,00 sq ft of development. It includes a new central lake, a range of existing and new woodland, tree groups and individual trees some with TPO protection. The development has resulted in the creation of a major new landscape, centered around a 5 ha lake supporting a diverse range of habitats and attracting a variety of wildlife including over fifty species of bird. The Longwater Lake has been established to accommodate flood waters with a variation in water levels of up to 2.4m. This has required a robust and sustainable marginal scheme to protect edges against erosion. A network of statutory and non statutory paths give pedestrian and cycle access throughout the park.
