The wind turbine supplies 100% green energy straight into the national grid to the benefit of over 1,000 homes and business in the area. Design proposals include landscaping and flood water reinforcements together with water vole habitat creation zones and flood compensation areas. Interpretation and visitor facilities have also been installed. This facility includes a terraced teaching area for 35 visitors/school pupils, an interactive teaching information wall and a variable height seating area. In conjunction with AMEC (Earth and Environmental), PLACE coordinated the ecological studies, VIA and mitigation works.
