Situated at the edge of mature pine woodland this new office and production unit required a landscape design to meet a number of specific requirements. These included connecting the site to its surroundings, providing an attractive working environment and creating an appropriate corporate image. Courtyards are an integral element of the building footprint and are actively used as informal ‘break out’ spaces. They are characterised by dense birch tree planting and grasses in formal lines which order the design and provide seasonal interest. Semi-mature pine trees connect the scheme to the existing woodland backdrop.
